Search box 'Hide Ebay Suggestions' - Can't get rid of it!

When they introduced the 'Ebay suggestions' auto-fill thing in the search box, I clicked 'hide' and it's stayed hidden.

Over the last couple of days it has kept coming back & I can't seem to permanantly turn it off - I click 'hide' but it keeps un-hiding for each new search.

Any ideas please?

  • Agree - exceedingly annoying! HOWEVER the US site (ebay.com) seems to be working properly (it permanently hides the ebay suggestions - at least it did this morning). So it looks like this may only relate to ebay.co.uk.

Wake up ebay uk - most browsers remember searches and auto-fill drop-downs anyway - why not make this a setting in the profile pages so people have a choice to make use of it.

And BTW - there are 2 bugs on the uk site with this feature as it currently works
    1. when you accidentally browse over the enlarge picture feature - it disappears and you can't get back either the user search list or the ebay suggestions, (fix is to type another letter - annoying), and
    2. once you do 1 the lists get confused, so when you put one of your own terms in and search, ebay searches on the term in the equivalent place in it's own list - VERY ANNOYING.
