Does Easter weekend mean painting fences?

Hi,

it's to be a good weekend, so thinking of doing the shed and fences on my 'estate'.

They are mostly reddish colour (red cedar) and was thinking of changing to a green.

Now, before I go and spend money on the green stuff, will one coat be enough or am I just creating more work for myself with having to do numerous coats?

Would the more expensive stuff with oil in it do it in one coat, don't mind spending the extra if it works?

Thanks, for now.

    Try using this :http://www.decoratingdirect.co.uk/viewprod/t/TORSOLASB/

I can vouch for Architechural Solignum and its about the best you will find IMO .They also stock the Water baesd one but in my opinion no water based product will outlast solvent based Architectural Solignum. Its very easy to use,but protect paving slabs etc as it will stain.Yes you can change colour easily but depending on what you change from and too you would probably need at least 2 coats.

Its not the cheapest but it will last for around -5 years without needing to re-coat.Ive used waterbased products on my sheds and fences and not one of them was very good and only lasted for 1-2 years...

You can contact the website and they will send you a colour chart via e-mail........
