            I just got a quote for my my existing mortgage from my existing borrower, and it was £36 pcm more than now.

Is it a repayment mortgage?
If so, I would personally be pretty !!!!ed off about paying more, having repaid part of the mortgage, and in these times of record low interest rates...0 -

That would be me then (40% of todays asking prices currently saved up) and add to that i also live in the north west where housing is cheaper anyway, lots of houses sat empty in my area and a lot more that just wont sell even after knocking 20% off over the last 12 months.
My patience is paying off so i think ill wait some more.0 -

            I've seen a house for sale that has an annexe created from converting the small garage. I figure that if I bought it the LHA rate on the 1-bed dinky annexe would pay the mortgage on the lot. That's just wrong isn't it.0
