Thanks for the reminder!! I last gave in June so am well pat the 12 week mark.

I am a leftie and last time took 20 mins!!!

How slow...when i was overweight i took 5 mins - must be a blood pressure thing.

AND - how good does that chocolate club taste afterwards:T ?

i have been a blood donor since i was 17 and am 24 now. even got my friend to start donating aswell. just makes me feel amazing when i go to donate because i know that my blood could be used to save someones life! i hate needles aswell and am not keen when my session gets closer but knowing i make a difference overcomes that.

yes there are certain rules about giving blood but that is for safety reasons which is totally understandable. better safe than sorry - dont want to be infecting someone who is already ill with anything else.

chabby you dont get paid for donating blood if thats what you mean by how much do you get - you do it out of the goodness of your heart. altho you do get rewards when you have donated a certain amount. i got my 10 pint badge last year and i think the next one is a pen. but when you get into the high numbers you get crystal plates and decanters.

at my last session they also had crisps and peanuts aswell as biscuits - i go for the tuck biscuits everytime lol
