Leaving sky but have sky line rental, advice needed.

I have sky tv, hd, broadband, talk and line rental. I initially had a good deal with quidco but now its approaching 12 months it isn't cost effective to stay, and I don't really need the tv service as I find i'm paying over £32 just to watch the same channels as freeview. I would like to leave all of the sky packages.

So, am I right in thinking that if I approach BT they will offer me a "return to donor" service which is a minimum 12 month line rental with them, and that I can then choose another broadband provider once i'm reconnected with them?

(Not the cheapest option but I have read that it is the only way to realistically go once you've been LLU-ed. I migrated from BT to Sky LLU when I signed up.)

My TV package 12 months is up on 28th May and phone line 8th June. I've read that in order for the BT line to be set up without paying the reconnection then you have to apply to BT rather than cancelling Sky first so that the line is migrated rather than disconnected/reconnected. If thats the case, do I have to wait until BT is reconnected before cancelling the TV service? (as you can't have phone line without TV and this might muck up the transfer.).
