Redundancy or Not - Advice please

Hi there
My employer has gone through looking at job roles etc and have decided to restructure and my job will be going.
We will either be offered alternative roles or have to apply for new roles, however, all of these roles are at a lower salary than I am currently on.
The company keeps repeating there will be no redundancies but I wanted to know if anyone knew where I would stand in the following circumstances, if it bears any relevance I have worked for the company 12 years
1. If I have to apply for a new role and I am unsuccessful, what am I entitled to / where does that leave me
2. If they offer me an alternative role and it doesnt match my current renumeration, where do I stand
If anyone has any advice on the above or other scenarios I may not have thought of please do include, all thoughts very welcome, this is really beginning to worry me
thanks

The term you need to look up is "suitable alternative".
If they say you current roll is no longer available then any alternative has to be suitable, reduced pay is one factor that would make it unsuitable.
The more changes the more likely it becomes unsuitable
If they have allready agreed in writing that the role has gone then this is a potential redundancy unless they can find a suitable position.0
