ebay feedback

Was just leaving feedback for all my things and noticed the only feedback you can leave for a buyer is positive or ill leave feeback later... can ou not leave feedback for a buyer???

Its not that i want to or anythink, just got me thinking what would happen if a buyer really messed you around, how would you be able to alert other sellers if a buyer was dodgy?? i vary rarely read all the feedback comments only look at how many positive, neutral and negatives someone has!!

  • Sellers havent been able to leave buyers neg/neutral feedback for quite a while now.

As long as people go through the proper dispute processes and sellers have their preferences set properly then they should be safe(well safer) from bad buyers.

No point in buyer feedback anyway as you dont get to go through and vet your bidders really, you let your preferences do it for you.

I find it really frustating that we cannot deal with bad buyers. Just got my first negative because i had to open a non-paying case and they paid on the last day now having a go at me for not giving them longer to pay for the item. I mind read now they had an invoice, a reminder and a polite email from me and i had nothing in return. Makes me sad

Actually there was a lot of point of buyer feedback. It made it so much easier to spot the seriel complainers and scammers. Plus you could retrict those with a negative rating.

Thats what i thought when i realised you couldnt leave neg feedback anymore! im not a very big seller, just sell my old text books and baby clothes but when someone bids on my items i always check out their feedback, so it does not protect the sellers on ebay much IMO...

Well I had a problem with an item I sold on ebay. The bidding ended and because there was a problem I refunded the seller its money with apologies. It was agreed that my final valuation fees would be refunded and thought no more about it. However this CREEP posted last night negative comments saying 'Revoked after bidding ended and paid for item'. He made no mention money was refunded within 24 hours. Today received an email from this creep now calling me a liar. I wanted to leave this thing feedback but unfortunately only works one way now. Because of this my 100 percent has gone down to 85 percent. I have now asked Ebay to close the account. Will be no loss as I seemed to do a lot better when i sell on Amazon.

I wouldn't hold your breath about Amazon and feedback. Buyers don't really get any feedback at all but can leave whatever they like for sellers. In fact most buyers don't even bother leaving feedback at all unless they want to leave a low star so sellers can easily fall into th epoor rating very quickly.

Also watch their fees, they can be enought to make your hair curl.

Its been fun and when things go well its great. However I do not need the money and I have come to the conclusion why put myself through the hassle.

With Amazon feedback I checked last night and a buyer said item did not arrive time. However I sent by Special Delivery was delivered the next working day by 11.30am and duly signed for. Also kept customer informed of progress of order. They put did not arrive on time and no customer service. I just give up...

That will be removed by ebay if reported by the buyer and as nobody actually reads + FB all you're doing is upping their good FB. so really pretty pointless.
You're better off leaving a follow up comment in a calm, factual way as that can be picked up easily by anyone checking someone's FB.

I don't know the story behind you cancelling the auction after it ended.
It could be that this creep of a buyer has had several winning auctions cancelled lately & is fed up with it.
Sellers sometimes claim that an item is lost, broken, sold elsewhere etc, as they aren't happy with the winning amount.
They must have agreed to a mutual or you wouldn't have received your FVF's back. They obviously played fair.
The only way to let other buyers know that you didn't go through with a sale is to leave neg FB. That way other buyers are at least aware that you may not deliver.
Why should they mention that they had a refund, to keep their money when you weren't sending the goods would possibly be fraud.
I'm not too sure why you would feel the need to leave -FB for this person, as they bid, won & paid.
