Broadband "IP profile"

During the course of the "inclement" weather (thunder, lightning, severe gales, sunshine and 2 rainbows at the moment, photos available if requested) during the last 2 days, my broadband's dropped off substantially.

I ran the broadband check with
http://www.speedtester.bt.com/

and it's come up with...

IP Profile: 135kbps
DSL Connection: 448 upstream 8128 downstream
Actual IP throughput : 114kbps

The Router's giving me:
448 upstream 7808 downstream
Noise margin: 27db upstream / 11db downstream
Attenuation: 25db upstream / 27db downstream

The ISP is Freedom2Surf.

Any suggestions..

Have you rebooted the router?

I left Freedom 2 Surf a few months back now because of slow speeds & perstistant dropping of the connection.

They were brilliant when I first joined them back in April 2004 but when they were taken over by PlusNet (i think thats what they are called) connection speed & customer service dipped dramatically.

my line well screwed last night. also on f2s. whatever you do dont reboot the router. i think i made it a lot worse doing that too much
