Blackberry Problems

Hubbie bought me a balckberry a few weeks ago, which came with a virtually non-existent instruction manual. I've been having a few wrinkles, and wonder if anyone can help:
1. Up until today if I delete a message on the blackberry it stays in my inbox on my main computer even if I choose the delete from mailbox and on handheld option, and even after synchonisation. Last night, for some reason all the emails which had been sitting in my inbox from before the blackberry had been bought (opened but not deleted because they were pending action or reply) were sent to my blackberry. There were 67 of these. I've no idea why they were suddenly sent as I didn't do anything to make this happen. I deleted from my blackberry stupidly using the delete from both option. I've just logged on to my main computer and they are all gone - and not to my deleted box on the main computer!!! Is there any way to retrieve them? Also why did they suddenly get sent to the blackberry?
2. messages sent from the blackberry aren't being saved on the main computer, even after synchronisation, and even after last night's little unprompted mass transfer.
3. Although it has allowed me to back up my diary from my blackberry onto the main computer (both outlook), it won't let me export my address book from the computer to the blackberry (also outlook) I saw someone else posted this problem a while back but no one responded with an answer. Did that person find out how to do it, or does anyone else know?
All help gratefully received

Does your Outlook email use a POP3 or Exchange mail server? If the latter see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA011165281033.aspx0
