Do I have a webcam in my packages?

Why does an ebayer think I should know if a package arrives or not if they don't tell me?
Perhaps she thinks I have a webcam in my packages and can see when it arrives?
I have just received a rather rude email from an ebayer asking whats happened to her parcel. She has never sent me an email enquiring about it or anything before but then decided to send her first email saying shes going to report me to ebay and was quite awful etc.
She only had to ask politely in an email about the item and I would have sorted it out, but now I've just posted her the proof of posting and letting her sort it out herself.
I consider myself a considerate ebayer and wish others would be too.......I have a feedback of over 1200 and 100% so I must be doing something right or I bribe them
Its such a shame because it spoils it for all those great ebayers out there.
Why do some people have no common sense or patience?

It doesn't matter how a buyer approaches you, it is still your responsibility to make sure that in the case of a package not arriving, that you sort it out, NOT your buyer.
If she paid by paypal she can just do a chargeback anyway, and even if she paid by cheque she can do an ebay claim, although that will cost her £15.
I hope you didn't send her the original copy of the COP as you will need that to reclaim your loss from the PO.

As a seller get very twitchy when the first contact telling you about a problem is confrontational. I start to suspect they are up to something, there is absolutely no need for it.
Just go through the system and sort it out it is up to you as Soo says, keep it friendly though and show you are working on it. Pull her contact details and give her a call and see what she is saying.0 -
I got somone on Amazon sending me a cross e- mail four or five days after I had sent a book - asking where was it and had I posted it.
When I replied that I had posted it at the same time as another book for someone else and that their book had arrived safely the previous day - to give it another day or so and I would refund if she wanted - even though it was under a week !!! I got a rather sarcastic e mail saying that obviously the book was not going to turn up now and in the very unlikely event of this turning up she would let me know!!!!
The next day I got a sheepish e mail saying not to do a refund as the book had just been delivered!!;)"This site is addictive!"

I know it is my responsibility to check on the parcel, but after the rude and offensive email she sent I had no intention of doing anything. I was quite shocked on how awful she was, she sounded really mad and when I originally read it it sounded as if she'd spoke/emailed me a dozen times before and was getting fed up with no response. (when in fact this was the first email I'd received)soolin wrote:It doesn't matter how a buyer approaches you, it is still your responsibility to make sure that in the case of a package not arriving, that you sort it out, NOT your buyer.

In the past I have refunded people before I've gone through the postal system etc.
Welllllll anyway she has just sent me a long apologetic email saying it wasn't intended for me .......it was for another seller who she had received no response to any of her emails.0
