ASDA Credit Card

Hi

I have an asda credit card set up on direct debit and I try to pay extra each month.. not really noticed till this month they lower the direct debit to take off what I have paid in. I am never going to clear this card .. anyone any tips. I also thought they had to let you pay more off than the minimum.

Sorry if this does not make much sense.

Thanks in advance for any advice

The answer to pay as much as you can towards it. If the DD is adjusted to take account of other payments, then change the DD to a different figure (£ or %) or pay it all manually.
  • Is the DD for a set amount each month?

If so, just ring them up and request that the DD remain set and that you may from time to time pay more in addition to it.

Alternatively, make the manual payment after the DD has been taken.

If you make any additional payments after the DD date but before the next statement date then the full DD will be taken and your extra payment.
