Getting from Reading to Central London?

Hi
Whats the cheapest way to get to London from Central Reading?
3 adults/2 kids/2 toddlers?
Thanks
Assuming the train as your best bet, I'd first ignore the toddlers (in the nicest possible way!) as they're free on mainline trains under 5-years old, and free on the tube under 11-years old I believe (assuming by toddler you mean under 5-years old). Therefore you only have 3 adults and 2 kids (over 5? under 11?). Off the top of my head what about getting a Groupsave 4 for all but one child, then a child Travelcard for the remaining child?
That's off the top of my head, but Groupsave's a good deal usually, although you all have to travel together at ALL times, as part of thye ticket's terms & conditions.0 -

£42 off-peak with a London Travelcard for 3 adults, 2 kids. You must stay together though.
26 mins on the train. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

You probably didn't say you wanted a groupsave - though even without it's nowhere near £127
Try http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/
You can buy on the day though - same price.0 -
£38 one way / £76 return

And those rail fares are why I'd drive. Madness.0

Rail fares are always expensive for family journeys, sadly.
For individuals they are almost always far cheaper than the costs of owning and running a car.
The problem lies in the fact that if you could get a family ticket for the same price as a single (as you essentially do in a car), people would just bunch up and get their work commute for 1/2 to 1/5th the normal price.Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”
Said Diogenes, “Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.”0
