I think the answer to this question may be, "How long is a piece of string" but I thought I'd still ask.
Just wondering how long the average local authority searches take to be completed? This is the final part of my purchase I am waiting on now and so, just hoping they'll be completed ASAP.

I think they take a couple of weeks but it depends on your LA. Both times we have brought they were back well within a month.House purchase completed 6th December whole process took 4 months.
Hang in there everyone it is worth it0 -
Hi scrivo, I think our local authority search was the last one to come back, about 3 weeks in total. Good luck!0

As mrsc says, it depends on your LA. Why not call them and ask them?

Just checked the Local Authority's website and it says that they average a 5-day turnaround from receiving the request to sending out the report. So, fingers crossed, should be received by the end of next week hopefully :rolleyes:0
