Gates on slant

Hello, I'd like to install metal gates on my drive. The pillars are already there. However the drive is on a slant and I would prefer the gates to open inwards. I have a small dog and don't want him escaping underneath the gates if high on the pillar. Any ideas? Many thanks.

You'll need to offset the bottom hinges so that the gate opens parallel to the slope. Your gate company will understand.

You'll probably have to get them made to measure - we see metal gates on slanted drives a lot round here - living on a hill!
Basically it's a normal square/rectangular set of gates that then have an additional triangular shaped piece added to them at the bottom to fit the gap between the slope and the gate. These are designed specifically to fit the gap so it's a different shape for each side.0
