Garden overhaul

Hi everyone. I haven't had a garden to play with before now so am just trying to test the water on how much a job we're getting done should cost us.

The garden is around 30 x 20 foot and is currently overgrown. We are having all the detritus (dead and overgrown plants) removed, shrubs trimmed and pruned, the central area prepared for a lawn and turf laid on. We'll also be having a small patio fully cleaned and weeded. They'll be removing and disposing of all the waste material for us.

The quote (all of the above included) is £500. I think this sounds good but would like a second opinion as I have no experience. Thoughts?

If it includes the cost of the turf I'd say you should probably bite his hand off.

    Cheers

Not that I really know anything but I usually base my decisions on price but mainly 'when can they do the job'? If they can come next week I start to wonder why? If they can't do it until about 6 weeks then it shows that the guy is kept busy by work. May not be always true but it has worked OK for me.

That sounds a very good price. I'd happily accept that.
