hi there
think this is the right place to ask but have just got my credit report from experian and, on it is a clydesdale bank readycash account that was marked as a late payment over a year ago.
this is a basic account so im not even sure why it was credit scored or why it would appear on a credit report.
does any one know if i can have this removed
many thanks

They may remove it as a GOGW however to your own admission yesterday or the day before you did manage
to take the account overdrawn at some point so therefore so the data has been registered correctly.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
thanks for reply st clair, thought this forum seemed a better place to ask. yes it went overdrawn, i dont deny that, by about 10 quid or so but these basic accounts are not credit scored, even bankrupts can get them, so i dont know why its even appearing on my credit history0

Most basic bank accounts report to the CRAS now a days.
They dont have to be credit scored to appear on your credit file either.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
bit extreme to register all that data though when it was a basic account that was only overdrawn once for less than a couple of weeks0

As a bank they have the right to report the way your account has been managed to the CRAs. If you think the decision is wrong you should contact them and ask them if they will update the information as a GOGW.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

Well if the OP asked the bank nicely they may remove the data.
I have had data corrected before by HSBC when I missed a Credit Card payment as I thought a DD was place.
I wrote to them making them to remove the data as GOGW or out of the goodness of their heart and they did
