DMP - good or bad idea?

Hello everyone,
I am really keen to hear from people that have gone onto a DMP and how they have found it?
I have read so many different stories and versions here that I am still delaying starting my DMP but I do know I need to take action - and soon.
Mostly I am scared of the CCJ's as I think that would make me feel like such a failure. How many of you received CCJ's when going onto a DMP?
