How to stop dog licking other dog's sores?

We look after a lovely old mutt who has a number of large skin growths on her back, like skin tags. We took her recently to get clipped and unfortunately (despite warning the groomer:mad:) a few of them got caught and are now very raw. She can't get at them herself, but our 2 year old collie/spaniel cross is constantly licking at them. Is there anything I can put on her that will a) deter him from licking them and b) won't harm her skin?

Keep them in separate rooms (or put one in a crate) until the skin has healed/scabbed over."Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so that stupid people won't be offended.0 -
Use some cream on the sores to help them heal (check out aromesse on the internet) - poor old girl and what a dozy groomer.0

Thanks for the replies; trying to find a way to sort it without having to separate them as each likes having the roam of the house! I will have a look at that aromesse online:D0

Sudocrem is great for promoting healing (originally for nappy rash!) and it was the only thing that deterred my old dog from licking sores. I assume it is nasty-tasting and your other dog will probably avoid licking her wounds."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

I remember sudocreme - I used to think it was great for the kids when they were babies - it has a nice clay-like consistency
Those were the days .............. 0 -

I second the sudocrem or Aloe gel. If they lick that off too then get some Bitter Yuck
It is alcohol free and fine to put over sores. One of my dogs had a grass seed such in his paw, after the vet cut it out we had to put on of those satellite dishes on him to stop him licking his paw. It drove him mad- kept bashing into things and wouldn't/couldn't drink.
We ordered some bitter yuck- he only tried to lick his paw once!
