nothing wrong with pitta breads as a side to curries! I would however rub a cut garlic clove on them and sprinkle on some chopped coriander. but plain is ok!0

Pitta pizzas - Toast them then spread them with tomato sauce and put on whatever toppings you fancy and cheese.
Spicy chicken pittas - fry a chicken breast with quartered baby tomatoes and spices (I used up a bit of curry paste) and pile in pitta with salad.
Pitta Dippas - Toast pittas and cut into sticks then dip in hummous or tzaziki etc.

I often use pitta bread in place of naan bread because it is cheaper and fits in the toaster!0

I quite often use a pitta bread with curries etc for a change- make sure you sprink them with water- if they come out too dry you can also try using greasproff paper- wet the paper and scrunch it up wrap it around the pittas before popping in the oven. Also to "spice" them up a tiny bit of olive oil + herbs/spices of your choice is quite nice too once they come out of the oven and are still quite hot.
DH quite likes sliced sausages + salad in pitta for lunch on the weekends add your chilli sauce/garlic/mayo and it's a tasty meal/snack
