.....Anyone not had problems lately?
0% period ending on dp card so he applied today for this card has been accepted etc
Just wondering what the likely hood of not having a problem (ie them closing the account) is after reading a few threads?
Would be fab if everything does turn out ok and we can continue to get 0%

Hit and miss really - happened to some people other people have been ok, just a case of keeping your fingers crossed and hoping for the best :-)
Did you use the letmechoose barclaycard thingy before applying ?The only real security that a man can have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience and ability.0 -

Well I've just got off the phone to a really hard-to-understand American/Canadian woman who kept going off and leaving me with silence for what seemed like ages, then she would pause for several seconds when I asked her a question, and then tried to fob me off with 'You'll get a letter'... blah, blah..
I just got a Platinum Visa Barclaycard. Thought it would be 0% for 20 months, but turns out it's for 12 months. I can live with that, but stupidly I pressed the back button on my browser after making a transfer...... you guessed it, it's gone through twice
Rang them up straight away to try and sort it out.. what a nightmare.. Apparently she has to write a letter to get the extra mistaken transfer cancelled, and it could take up to 5 weeks.......... HUH? I'll also be charged the handling fee (this answer took some persistent questioning!) Although, after asking to speak to her supervisor (and another long silence), she said they 'could' waive it...... I was so fed up of trying to understand her and trying to get her to actually answer my questions that I just wanted to get off the phone in the end.. I'll record it: date, her name, conversation, etc., await the letter and hope I don't have to ring them again, EVER! I knew there was a reason I was so reluctant to apply to Barclaycard in the first place: should've researched better: I normally do. That'll 'learn' me!
Was contemplating transferring another balance, for the 'fee waiving on further balance transfer' thinggie, but after this experience I won't bother: I'd probably have to ring them to get them to do it anyway, and I don't think I've got the constitution!
Sorry for the rant, but I was so annoyed I needed to get it off my chest IMMEDIATELY.
Thanks for reading :A

Well that rules that out then - i read somewhere people thought that was the problem. The only real security that a man can have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience and ability.0 -

Well we'll soon found out.
I used the let me choose which said I had 70-80% for Simplicity; applied and got the "We need more information"; probs just want to call my employer to make sure I'm there or whatever before giving me the card. We'll see...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
