Barclays phoning about someone else's debt...

Hope I'm posting in the right place!
My partner and I have started receiving quite a few calls from Barclays debt recovery (googled the telephone number) asking for his ex-wife... She hasn't lived at this address for nearly 5 years, and even though we've told them that - and they tell us they'll update their records and take our number off - the calls keep coming!
It's getting pretty annoying now! Will they just give up if we tell them she's no longer here? Any advice to stop the nuisance calls once and for all?

If a financial association was created between both of them at the time of marriage, then your partner may still be jointly liable to service/repay (part of) the debt. This would have been a debt she ran up on her own. All joint accounts, etc., were dissolved and now remain in my partner's name.
Just not sure how to stop the calls...0 -
