Thank you for all the help. I just phoned my council to confirm but the said none of it was relevant, I'm under 25 so get the shared room rate. So stressed now...guess I'll give up on the place I had in mind!0

In, out, shake it all about, the Hokey cokey of the spare room goes on:
- the Government said all applicable households would have to pay the bedroom tax
- last month the Court of Appeal ruled that the bedroom tax regulations discriminated against the disabled
- yesterday the DWP applied to seek permission to overturn the decisionDisclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
