Help!

Im really confused..We are being made redundant this week..I have been in my job for 3 yrs and 3 mths. however following a big operation have been very ill and of work since Jan.. so missed a lot of very impertant info at work..a few of my colleagues rang me today 1 is on about having to give 4 weeks notice saying i cnt start work again for another 4 weeks etc our redendancy day is 21st we get our last wage slip sent to us on 28th.. i may have to go on ESA how my redundancy affect this? Soo confused! Obviously been getting SSP up until now but of course that will stop on 21st..anyone help give advice? thx

    Hi. Sorry to hear about losing your job. Make a claim to ESA as soon as your sick pay stops or on the day after your employment stops.

    Having been employed just over 3 years - the pay off you receive is unlikely to affect your entitlement to whichever element of ESA you get.
