Looking for a cheap kitchen that will last about 2 years

LOL, I bet you've never had a poster wanting to buy a load of !!!!!! before
I've been renovating a house for the last year and it will be ready to move into in around 9 weeks time (as our current house will have the new buyers moving into it around then).
Our newly renovated house will be ready except for the kitchen which is the very last room to do. Because it's a big Kitchen (8 mtrs long, 5 mtrs wide) I can't yet afford a years wages on the new one that wifey wants.
So i'm looking for a temporary one just to go alongside the one 8 mtr wall to keep us going for about 2 years whilst we save up. Just a sink, cooker, cupboards etc
If anyone knows any cheapie sites or links, it would be much appreciated. Ta

Not sure how cheap you are thinking but suspect around £500??? Well this company has not only full kitchens but random items like dressers. Was thinking of getting one for my new house but didn't need to in the end as there was a good kitchen here already.

Do you run a business of any type? If so, apply for a (Free) B&Q tradepoint card. If not, find a friend who is eligible! It entitles you to a trade discount and last time I checked the prices were pretty good.0

Hi, I suppose you have found something by now, but it occurred to me that Gumtree.com is a great place for finding stuff locally. I just took a look and found kitchen units for £1. Go figure.
Anyway, some further information for you.
I mate of mine did the same thing, and got a really cheap but pretty set of units from somewhere, he said that all the weight of the unit (floor) was on the sides boards which acted as legs, unlike better quality ones which have legs.
So, to make them more strong, he took them apart, and re-glued the dowel joints, added a few bits of baton on the backs for extra strength and soaked the raw unfinished edges of the units with varnish to make them water proof, because, the cheap kitchen board will soak up any moisture spilled on the floor:T and start to swell, thereby ruining an otherwise useful bit of kit.
He also put nicer door handles on, and a black worktop, and then, to make it look a little different, (it was a kind of maple wood colour) he used cheap black tiles and turned them diagonally to give a diamond shape pattern. It looked great.

eBay!
You can pick up a half decent, used kitchen complete with appliances which you can refit, for peanuts.
Sometimes even you can find new bargains. Our kitchen units were ex-photoshoot John Lewis. The whole kitchen for the price of one unit
The kitchen we took out went to a lady that was renovating a house as well and it was temporary for her.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Ebay often have kitchens going cheap, or ikea's freestanding units, you can sell them on after two years, or freecycle, people give loads of things away on there, or preloved? if it was me, personally, i would get something moveable to save the hassle of fitting a kitchen, just to take it out again!!0

you could always try freecycle - I've seen kitchen units etc. being offered on there when someone's doing a refit. (Also ta to catbells for posting that link, gonna bookmark the site for a friend of mine!
