hi all
see if any one can help..
found out a week ago that house is heaving not subsidence, where the foundations are not deep enough and the house is going up and down from the clay..
the nhbc are doing all the work and have insurerd us they will take care of all the cost and rehome us while the work is going on...
but my question is, would my house drop in value when i go to sell it....? because most people dont want a house with any foundation work done..
will my insurance go up?
if we ever sell it will a buyer get a morgage for it if they do will they pay a higher premeum for it...?
hope some one can help...
kind regards lee........

I don't think its going to be a great selling point unfortunately. However if you have all the appropriate guarantees then it needn't be the end of the world.
Buyers will still be able to get a mortgage as long as the survey is ok and they can get buildings insurance. This will most likely come from a specialist insurer and will cost them more though.
I'm afraid this will affect the value of your house. How much depends on the market and your buyer.0
