Welcome Finance PPI Refund

Here's my story....
From 2001-2006 I was young, naive and stupid and had taken Welcome Finance Loans - rolling them over practically every year until paying them off in full in 2006
To be honest the loans I had taken out were between £500-£750 a time.
I recently became aware of the ppi scam/injustice- got my loan numbers, claim posted in along with questionnaire. They acknowledged receipt of questionnaire and claim on 21 March 2011.:T
Phoned WFS and was told my claim was fairly straightforward, and should expect an offer soon.
This morning, 18 April 2011, offer letter for ppi on three of the loans (March 2003 - 2006) totalling £2580
Along with a letter saying my complaint was upheld for the three loans above - I'm accepting this, and have filled in my details for the BACS payment to be processed, anyone know how long they usually take to do this??
Also included was a letter, rejecting my claim for the two earlier loans (2001-2003), saying that I should pursue the insurance provider. Can anyone shed some light on what to do here, or should i just be glad I got something back?
So anyone who's hesitant about claiming, it's your money, you've got a right to ask for it back!
Thanks
K

Well done on your win :j:j:j:j:j
The loans before 2005 welcome would not have been regulated at that time, so you need to go for the insurer, this can be a long hard slog with maybe nothing at the end of it.
You need to find out from welcome who the insurers were (when you find out you need to phone FOS and ask were they regulated ), you then send a complaint ito then for the mis sell of ppi just as you did with welcome.
If they were regulated and the ins come back with no, then you can take this to fos to deal with.
Not sure how long welcome take to pay out, but i hope you dont wait too long.0 -
