ive only just moved into a property and started my planting which this year will only be small with the hope of next year having my full beds ready etc

But whilst i am waiting i need something that my tomatoes and chillis etc can go in.

I can't afford a proper greenhouse yet, that will need to wait until next year - hopefully someone will get it as an Xmas pressie!

But im a bit confused about all these plastic greenhouses as no-one has them on show. It would be sheltered from the wind as I know that can be an issue but doesn't anyone have any better ones they recommend as they not got he best reviews.....

Also just a thought for next year, with the greenhouse going in the garden where there are young children does anyone doe greenhouses with safety glass or acrylic windows as the one on my Grandads allotment was very thin glass and always cracking which is a worry near children etc

The Homebase one looks very flimsy for the price. I have a blowaway (no room for something that size) and I put slate tiles in the base to keep it stable.

All major greenhouse manufacturers have a safety glass and/or plastic option. The ultra-cheap DIY shed greenhouses often have plastic glazing too, though you get what you pay for in terms of build quality.

Keep an eye on Ebay-I bought a greenhouse with safety glass secondhand-though I had to wait a while to get exactly what I wanted.

Thanks sammyjammy I went to aldo but they apparently all got returned due to missing bits! So I'm assuming it's the same at all stores

I got a great one from Morrisons a couple of months ago. It is attached to my shed, and held down by grow bags on the frame.

Thanks, I'll hopefully get a few people to put in for one for Xmas then!!!

    I got this one:

    Wilko Walk In Greenhouse 1

However, I would like to get my OH to agree that I can have this one, a bit bigger:

    Wilko Walk In Greenhouse 2

    or even this:

    Wilko Walk In Greenhouse 3

I want to put some tomatoes in there, peppers and aubergines. Even if I keep the door rolled up, it would give them more warmth and protection from wind and rain.

The one I have seems pretty good, stable (I did put a few bricks at the bottom), the cover feels strong, nd if something, you can buy a replacement cover as well.
