:hello:Hi all

Just been given an upgrade to a Blackberry Curve 9300 3G :j

I'm new to smart phones and have been looking on the Blackberry site at the apps. There seem to be so many! Can anyone recommend any? Fun, useful or otherwise? I fancy a shopping list and Scrabble so far......

  • These are some of the apps I have. Some are paid, about 85p!!

Blackberry Protect, this is a free app. If your phone is lost you can track and if necessary wipe it. Also automatically backs up over your WiFi.

Blackberry Wallet. Keeps details of your credit/debit card, store cards and "points" cards i.e. Tescos Clubcard, Nectar.

I.C.E in case of emergencies. Especially if you suffer from any medicine allergies.

Eat at Subway? There's an app instead of your card.

The Light. Turns you camera flash into a torch. Very useful. I actually used it during a powercut.

Use Ebay? There's an app for both Ebay and Paypal.

Batterywatch keeps an eye on your battery and lets you know when it gets low.

Use BBM. Easy Smiley Pack. Gives you more Smileys.
Weather Bug. Gives you the weather daily and also gives a 7 day forecast which I find to be more accurate than the BBC.
I also have Formula 1 as well.

iBlocker Pro is a paid for app, 85p? is also another one I have. This gives you the ability to block calls and texts from any number including Unknown/Withheld numbers.

    I've got:

    Tesco Clubcard
    F1 2011 - Live timing and results
QR Code Scanner Pro, scans QR codes to add BBM friends and new apps
    Twitter - self explanatory
Wise Pilot - Sat Nav, you can subscribe for anything from 1 day to lifetime. It's an excellent sat nav that works all over Europe, ideal if you'll only use satnav occasionally.
    Blackberry protect (as poster above)
Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear

WOW. Thank you both. Love some of the things you've suggested so will definitely check them out. Think I'm gonna like my new toy!!! What are the chances of it being after Easter now when it's delivered!? Oh, well, I can wait :)
