Cheapest Hayfever Remedies 2011 discussion

Just ordered online Benadryl (acrivastine) from Lloyds pharmacy for £2.69 for 12's.

Bought 3 boxes, and delivery was £1.95. Total cost for 3 boxes was £10.02 - that's £3.33 per box, considerably cheaper than £3.97 at supermarkets.

Asda have Benadryl (acrivastine) on offer at £3.00 - but the shelf at my Asda was empty last night.

Anyone know when acrivastine will come out of patent so we can buy it at a sensible price? It's the only one that works on me when the hayfever is really bad!

Besides pills, in my home country (Japan) it's very popular to take tea called Ten Cha. It's sold as Chinese Blackberry Tea in English speaking countries. Could be cheaper and a good side effect-free option.

It looks as if Chemist-4-U are now charging for delivery, on all orders under £20, rather than as indicated in the MSE cheap-hayfever-remedies web page?

Would the MSE team like to check this out an update the guide accordingly?

PS, should a 2012 discussion thread also be started afresh?

Chemist-4-U have confirmed to me that they had incorrectly setup the delivery costs for cetirizine.

Now when you go to the checkout, carriage is not charged.

however, the site is confusing in the main page says carriages free on all orders over £20, but the allergy medication page says that it is free on all orders for this range of products.......
