Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 5

has anyone used their DTD voucher on electricals? in particular Playstation games or accessories?
Their T&Cs state you can't use it "at the Tesco Direct Desk" but I'm unsure what that means...
thanks!
Can see anyone has anwered this, apologies if someone has and I missed it.
I think the direct deak is where you collect you online orders or order instore for collection later. I've collected toys from the direct desk I've had delivered to the store or I'm too bone idle to pick of the shelf myself. You can also order furniture at these desks for delivery at home
Makes me think of an attempt on Argos.0 -

I am saddened by the way this thead is deteriorating into petty point scoring and squabbles over what exactly
Can everyone not be grateful that this thread has highlighted the DTD opportunity for however long it might last and also MSE for the wonderful forum.
The speadsheet was a great initiative that needed to be controlled in a fairly rigid manner to ensure it's reliability and for that I am cetainly grateful.
For me it provided one souce of information which will not suit everyones need. But please do not undermine or belittle the hard work of others - done may I say for your benefit!
I found it quite easy to copy and paste to a new excel spreadsheet, order sort using various filters and eliminate items that I personally would never use no matter how free they were ( about 10 mins)
The pricechecker site now renamed as "trolleychecker" has been in it's current format for several days and which I also copied and pasted to Excel and performed various sorts to highlight ( takes about 15 mins ) - trolleychecker seems to miss the wine out tho:(
Needless to say before any purchases I always check the Asda website and the moneysupermarket website for the item to be in my local store for sale ( u need to register with not neccessarily your own details) otherwise the DTD will fail.
There you go that's that off my chest.
Off to relax now with another bottle of that Wolf Blass and a box of Heroes and a few Phileas Fogg
Hope to return to a happier forum tomorrow,

Hey I wanted to know if you can enter a receipt in the price checker from which you used a DTD voucher to purchase that shopping.
I am new to this and have been reading through comments and have taken a look at the spreadsheet, was going to give the DTD shop a try tomorrow by purchasing 1 x Oral-B Kids Stages Power Battery T/Brush £10 ...then hopefully will get a £16 DTD Voucher back.
Yip, but watch your monthly limits. See post 10 -
Going by the SS, I assume it's http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Speciality_Breads/Tesco_Ciabatta_Bread.html and http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-compare-prices/Speciality_Breads/ASDA_Ciabatta_Loaf_Large.html but you're the only person who's mentioned it.....
I bought 2 of these at T yesterday as I wanted them anyway. I will confirm if they work as soon as the vouchers come through.0 -
anyone please, as i don't want to get stung again
Would this work
Whyte & Mackay 35cl is £7.97 or 2 for £12 in asda
whyte & mackay 35cl is £8.79
taken these prices from mysupermarket
and it is on the asda page, but not on the tesco one, does it have to be on the tesco website for them to dtd
or
is it as long as it is on the asda webpage
as i was thinking that the difference on the above 2 would be.
asda £12 x 2 Tesco £17.58
difference is £5.58 x 2 = £11.16
meaning £6.42 for 70 cl
but would this work with it not being on the tesco page, but on the asda one.

Then from that £16 I would buy another toothbrush and £6 worth of other items, then enter that receipt again to get another £16 DTD voucher...
can this be done?
Most of us do that, we call it recycling
If you get the toothbrush, make sure you get the correct barcode.0 -

...And this is why people get scared of techy talk! What on earth are you talking about? I'm sure there's lots of people wondering if you're pouring Wolf Blass into computers :rotfl:

Wine is a Windows emulator which you can run on your ubuntu machine. It lets you run programs which need windows and also itunes.
It's only a game

I want one...actually I want 2...a macbook and a pretty dinky macbook air but unfortunately I dont have £800 to buy one:(
Now, if DTD can run in its present state for about another 6 months then perhaps I can save enough to buy one :money:If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!0
