Tesco thanks you for this post0 -
Does anyone know if they sell £10 gift cards in Tesco like Asda do by the checkout. Just wondering if I can buy an oral b toothbrush, a dentyl mouthwash £3 and a £10 gift voucher with £3 to pay and get a £20 voucher back.
Has anyone done similar, does it cause an issue?
You can pick up giftcards and add any amount to them. Sounds like a cracking idea.
Had no interest in the toothbrushes before, but all of a sudden I do! Are the barcodes on the spreadsheet, as I know people have picked up the wrong ones? This would be idea for me to pick up when I'm back at work and doing a DTD shop in lunchbreak, as nowhere to store frozen food or bulky stuff.0 -

Price Check vouchers cannot be redeemed against purchases of petrol, lottery, tobacco, infant formula, cafe, pharmacy, gift cards and mobile phone top up or at the Tesco Direct Desk.
Doesn't say we won't get a pricecheck for it but would be on like for like though ie: £10 tesco £10 asda = no DTD as no 'D' lol
give it a go, it may be worth a try.
but it also states on the voucher itself:
Terms of use:- This voucher can be used only once.
- For use by recipient only
- One voucher per transaction
- Must be used within 28 days of issue
- Valid only when accompanied with original receipt or delivery note
- Can only be redeemed against transactions of an equal or higher value than the voucher.
- Copied, damaged or defaced vouchers will not be accepted.
- Cannot be used for purchases at the kiosk, fuel, tobacco, lottery, gift-cards or mobile phone top-up cards, optical, pharmacy or papershop.
- This voucher has no cash value. No change given. This voucher is and shall remain the property of Tesco Stores Limited and is not for resale or publication.
- Terms and conditions apply -- see http://www.tescopricecheck.com/terms.
it's clear that (the majority of) tesco employees don't read the voucher fully and don't know the Ts and Cs properly.
indeed someone mentioned that they have used vouchers at the pharmacy counter several times!
do tesco give their employees eye tests?

When I used up my £100 ones (x2) that I got prior to the £20 cap I bought ticketmaster giftcards, and no-one batted an eyelid.
I think there are so many that don't know the rules you could quite easily get away with buying £10 giftcards. A £10 giftcard for £3 a time would mean you could put lots away for christmas.0 -
