  • I personally wouldnt use a wombling receipt, you never know if the person is the sa behind the counter do you ?

How would they know it's their receipt though? lol It doesn't have their name on it and they couldn't prove that the person with the receipt didn't buy exactly the same as them :)

I've been naughty ...... very naughty! I thought I'd do my 1st DTD shop today but I was called away from the house to pick up the hubby so wasn't fully prepared.

I had 6 transactions in total though I missed out on £10 by putting 2 lots of Finish on one bill. I have to say that apart from the eye cream which is a treat, everything else was stuff we needed or similar to what we use anyway so I feel no guilt :rotfl:

    Transaction 1:
Toothbrush (last one!) plus other non-DTD = £16

    Transaction 2:
Eye Cream plus other non-DTD stuff = £20

    Transaction 3:
Eye Cream plus other non-DTD stuff = £20

    Transaction 4:
Vodka plus other DTD stuff = £20

    Transaction 5:
Vodka plus other DTD stuff = £15

    Transaction 6:
Finish plus other DTD stuff that I lost out on = £20

Total spend minus DTD (fingers crossed) equals £60 which got us lots of alcohol, dishwasher tablets to clean the drinks glasses and eye cream to reduce the effects of over drinking

Thank you so much to those who have been and still are working on the spreadsheet. We've saved a small fortune today which will help towards the costs of our new arrival - I'd forgotten how much nappies & formula cost :(

you didnt comment on this so just wanted to highlight it to you; the smirnoff is in a 2 for £26 offer, and its £13 a bottle in asda so by buying 2, i think you've removed the DTD benefit of this shop?

Think that was a wombled receipt though :)

My store insisted on keeping my original receipt today for the first time, S/A said they had been told they had to keep them from now on!!! Just made me feel a little uneasy, not that I had done anything wrong, but now feel I am being watched!!

Dont worry I have had all mine kept by the sa.

    A liitle help needed please,

Asda have buy 2 for £2 on these, if i only pick up 2 in Tescos will the following apply.

    T £5.18 A £2.00 DD £6.36 profit £1.18

    TIA

Yes did this yesterday. I bought 2 packs and confirmed the DTD earlier.

You just have to make sure you dont buy 3 packs.

One pack would ruin the maths as well ??? If so maybe a note on the spreadsheet? I did a form earlier but didnt realise Asda had changed their offer

Did you remember to make sure your non-DTD stuff wasn't going to be cheaper at Tesco and therefore drag your total DTD voucher down in price? A mistake I learned from quickly! lol :)

2 Snippets of info for my fellow DTD'ers this afternoon

Mikado biscuit stick thingys are fab because you can fit them into tiny little gaps in your now over-full cupboards, plus they aren't too high in calories and yummy!

Ashford Tesco (near Staines, Heathrow etc) do call a supervisor to the till for every voucher. Supervisor was nice enough, but it does hold the que up, and means you can probably only use 1 voucher in a visit. I only wanted to use one anyway, so I didn't ask about using any more.

lol still wouldn't have a name on it though? And not all the clubcard or c/d card numbers would be on it to compare with.

I see where you're coming from, but it wouldn't work :) Only way would be if they caught you picking it up or something! lol

Queue a fight! That's my receipt............. Prove it ;)
