Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 5

I know someone has said to me that the Potteries stores are fine but I had a run in this morning with the till supervisor at TV.
This was a blonde girl with her hair in a ponytail. She announced that my voucher could nto be accepted for 2 reasons. One it had to be cut around the dotted lines - OK I admit that one, I had been slack, not cut the voucher out properly but where does it say this in the rules and regs?
Even more oddly she said that the terms and conditions on the voucher had to be numbered or the voucher was not acceptable
Again where does it say this??? And none of the vouchers I've seen have been numbered? The only thing I can think of is that she got confused with the numbers on the bottom.
So all of my shopping, a very mixed bunch was emptied out on the belt and left and I said I wa soff to Asda. She even offered to give me the HQ number (no-ing properly that nobody would be there as its a bank holiday) But I said I would write instead - a letter being more scarey than a phone call!
So, depending on how bored you are today you can either avoid this store when this supervisor is working or you can do your shopping, get your voucher refused and leave everything at the till. So when this till supervisor has seen several of these unnumbered vouchers she might have a rethink about her store policies
I don't know if this is what you mean but my terms and conditions are numbered, eg- This voucher can be used only once.
- For use by recipient only
- One voucher per transaction
- Must be used within 28 days of issue
- Valid only when accompanied with original receipt or delivery note
- Can only be redeemed against transactions of an equal or higher value than the voucher.
- Copied, damaged or defaced vouchers will not be accepted.
- Cannot be used for purchases at the kiosk, fuel, tobacco, lottery, gift-cards or mobile phone top-up cards, optical, pharmacy or papershop.
- This voucher has no cash value. No change given. This voucher is and shall remain the property of Tesco Stores Limited and is not for resale or publication.
- Terms and conditions apply -- see http://www.tescopricecheck.com/terms.

HAD TO SHARE THIS !!!!!!!!!!
Just got back from my local ASDA store doing the weekly normal shop and i noticed that on every single till they had an A4 poster which was a photocopy of a newpaper article, it read big headlines TESCO LIMIT ASDA PRICE CHECK PROMISE so hillarious my asda are totally showing tesco up for their underhanded tactics to make sure we dont all figure out that Asda have been cheaper all along.

Thank you for the replies to my previous post. I know there are multiple threads on this and I have read the information post on Thread 1 but I'm still a little bit lost.
I go in to Mr T and do my shop which includes some DTD items such as Finish and a bottle of wine. I go to the PriceCheck website and enter the info from my receipt. Now I've already done this for a receipt I had lying around but not had an email to give me any idea of what is happening.
Now people keep saying things like "I used the wrong voucher" or "I got the wrong size and Asda was cheaper so that ruined my DTD". What does these statements mean?
How do I get the voucher?
What's this with people saying the SAs sometimes won't accept a voucher if the last shop was a DTD - how do they know I price checked that receipt?
I know I sound a bit blonde but I have sleep deprivation from a 5 week old baby and I'm in need of some serious money saving :rotfl:
basically, what you do is... do a shop with DTD items trying to make your DTD £20ish, do not put any other items in this basket as the DTD will effect the whole shop!! then input the receipt into the price checker, if you dont get an email back the next day, re input the receipt into the price checker again and your voucher should pop up, print the voucher out, go shopping again, dependent upon what you want.... ie, if you are just doing it the once and want to kill that voucher off, buy multi saves or normal shopping, then that is the end of that voucher or you could try enter it again, but chances are it will probably come back cheaper at Tesco.........., or if you are wanting to recycle that voucher, then buy more DTD items, and again input the receipt, your receipt will now show that you paid by a DTD voucher (coupon), this is how the SA will know that you have paid by a voucher.
When people are saying they picked the wrong size they mean they were supposed to pick up, for instance kellogs frosties may be £2 in T and £1 in asda for a 125g box, so DTD would be £2, so if someone picked up a 200g box they would not get DTD on that item.

I think they both go the new ss but since the link was changed to a sort of front page 'store wars' when you select the live ss from there it appears in a box with scroll bars. With the direct linkI just posted the ss covers the whole screen and you scroll across it touching your screen on the iphone.
AH ok - the link in POST 2 still goes DIRECTLY to the spreadsheet - I've never changed that one.0 -

All I was doing was making a list of useful links on that pageAsk me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
think its 6.99 now ?
keep looking for a good wine!
Yeah - I just checked the two websites and Tesco seem to have put the Hardy's Stamp Semillion Chardonnay and the Shiraz Cabernet Sauvingnon down from £7.79 to £6.99, Asda still at £4.00, so the DTD will be £5.98 and a "real cost" of £1.01 rather than 21p.0 -
Nice £20 DTD for me again today - only one thing to note that I've not seen on the SS:
TOTAL £ 21.76 £ 11.70
1 x TAMPAX BLUE BOX LITES 20 £ 2.78 £ 2.70
2 x WKD VODKA BLUE 4X275ML £ 8.98 £ 7.00
1 x ORAL-B KIDS STAGES POWER BATTERY T/BRUSH £ 10.00 £ 2.00
I've seen other types on the SS but not the lites. Not a huge DTD, but 16p's 16p! lol
Also - just noticed that the 2 packs of 4 WKDs are no longer on the spreadsheet (obv. as they've not been confirmed by anyone this week) but they're still giving a £3.96 DTD so a cost of £5.02 for 8 bottles.•¨¨*:•..•
