Hi Just smile as if you use them all the time. I normally say you just scan the voucher, and type in the amount. If she/he is unsure they will call a line manager, but in fairness they normally then process them without any hassle. Dont panic and you dont have to look worried it is legal what you are doing :rotfl: good luck and let us know how you get on

also, try and find men, or young boys, they dont bat an eyelid

I'm a newbie to all of this but going to start DTDing today! :-) Just wanted to ask when u go through the till using one of the vouchers what SHOULD happen at the checkout? If the SA is not sure what to do with the voucher what should I say? I'm worried I might say the wrong thing. Thanks

My favourite is just to say it's "It's a double the difference voucher, my shopping was cheaper at ASDA, you just scan it and put the amount in" Usually they are so fascinated by them and want to know how to do it themselves! Please remember that the bad experiences on here are just a small minority, most SA's are fine and the more you do it the easier it is. The best advice I can give is read as many peoples experiences so that you are prepared as the old saying "Knowledge is power" is very true. We know more about this promotion than them and the more confident you are the better:)

I had a young girl yesterday, she also didn't bat an eyelid. She gave me my receipt back too, without signing. I tore it up though.

I've just worked out my cash spend in Tesco so far, since the promotion began:

    14th - 24th March - £133
    25th March - present - £215

    Total so far: £348!

In that same time period, on my normal weekly food/toiletries/cleaning products budget, I would have spent £192. This promotion needs to go on for some time for these figures to look good! However, should the promotion end tomorrow, I imagine I could do very well on little more than a tenner a week for months, due to the stockpile of stuff I now have!

EDIT - This doesn't include the L'Oreal toiletries I bought the other day as that came out of my birthday/Christmas present budget. It also doesn't include the £100 I spent on a new chest freezer to accommodate the growing supply of frozen goods!

I'm still only on Day 8 of my inventory - the growing mound of stuff to be added is just too much to even contemplate listing...

I worked out my 'spend' part way through March and had a VERY nasty shock! I did mention it on here , pointing out how easy it is to get carried away with supposed free shopping which actualy isn't. It was only the first couple of weeks though whe I was still feeling my way around the system and now that I've got myself organised with recycling my extra 'spends' are usually around £2/£3 and often less than £1 so I am well back on track. I guess quite a few people overspent on their normal budget at the beginning.

    new spreadsheet information please read
OK, we have been working on some modifications to the way we update the spreadsheet as trawling through everybody's posts is a massive task, and there aren't that many of us.

So, with this in mind, from now on all spreadsheet update requests should be submitted using this form

    https://spreadsheets0.google.com/viewform?hl=en&hl=en&formkey=dEd6Q0IxMVVBbF84VjNZWUdOeEdjblE6MQ#gid=0

The form can be used to submit new deals, notify us of your confirmed deals for today, notify price changes or tell us to delete something.

Before you send us an update, please check carefully whether the item is already on the spreadsheet. You can do this by pressing CTRL+ F and searching. If it is already there but you need to send us an amendment, then please copy the description from the spreadsheet in to your form. This will make our lives a whole lot easier, A LOT EASIER. PLEASE CHECK BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR CONFIRMED LIST if the item has already been updated for today.

Also, we will only put the website prices on the SS as there are regional variations in store.

The revised spreadsheet is located here (live version)

    https://spreadsheets0.google.com/pub?hl=en&hl=en&key=0ArDxW2XgVnGjdEd6Q0IxMVVBbF84VjNZWUdOeEdjblE&single=true&gid=4&output=html

We have tweaked the value column to make it easier to find the good deals. Those in red, you get back more than you pay (cer-ching!) - those in green, the net cost is less than 60% of the price you would pay at Asda.

We will no longer be updating from the thread (although we will keep our eyes open) so please, use the form.

note to all - deals which have not been confirmed for 1 week are deleted from the spreadsheet so remember to confirm them!

The spreadsheet relies on google hosting it, and their servers have crashed a couple of times lately. It doesn't mean we've removed the SS, barred you or anything else. Please be patient - it normally comes back up within minutes rather than hours

Just a new day bump on this information.

    Regards

How do you use the "Quantity" column in the new spreadsheet? With the old one, I was downloading the spreadsheet and using it to calculate my shopping lists - this doesnt seem to work any more. Any ideas?
