With all due respect, I have been speaking to Northumbrian university and also Open University and they have informed me the necessary courses to do, I typed this up this morning while I was also dealing with my child in the hope someone could give me some direct information as at the time I had no time to doing lots of internet searching. Just because you do not click a link etc does not mean you are not able to do degree level studying.

UCAS brings up 57 results for undergraduate logistics degrees, including one at Northumbria.

I'm with the others, if you can't even do your own research, how are you going to manage a degree?

I am sure alot of the people on here ask for help and advice as a fast track rather than search the internet, I did search for what I believed was correct, after reading information on the asda careers website they specifically ask for post graduates which is possibly why I was looking for what I was. It is not up to you to insinuate someone is 'thick', this is supposed to be a place of support, you obviously have nothing better to do than belittle others who are trying to better themselves.

Are you saying that everyone who does not have a degree is thick? No one else has said that.

Perhaps academia may not be your forte.

No you insinuated that I should not pursue my interest as you believed I was incapable or 'thick', asking for advice on an online forum for support is not a weakness and you should not judge just because someone has not had the time to research everything I wanted a specific post graduate course as that is what I had read on the Asda website.

I have in the past trained in child care then went on to child protection studies before I had my daughter, I decided when I had my daughter I did not want to pursue that career further, so I am more than capable of studying again just in a different area.

Your posts are a bit confusing, both about what you want to do, and what qualifications you have already. Are you willing to tell us what qualifications you have at the moment?

If you have the equivalent of two A levels plus 3 other subjects at GCSE grade C or above, including Maths and English in those five, then you are qualified to study for an undergraduate degree. Individual courses may have extra requirements: for example, I'd imagine logistics and ops management might ask for Maths or a Science at A level (I don't know for certain).

If you don't have qualifications at that level, then you'd need to beef up what you do have in some way. Maybe an Access course? Or something with the Open University.

However, there are very few degrees which lead straight into a chosen field, and many which can lead to a wide range of careers. If you've worked out that you're going to need to do a postgraduate degree, then the best advice I can give is to find a subject which will be acceptable for that PG course (no use studying English Literature for an MSc in Medical Physics, for example), and then narrow it down further to a subject you'll do well in over the length of the course.

Thing is, if you don't do very well at undergraduate level, you won't be offered a place on a PG course, and even if you are offered a place, you won't get funding.
