Property Bee Volunteer, please! Def not urgent!

I'm being totally nosy, and there's absolutely no rush, but would some kind soul property bee this for me, please?

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-33183386.html

It was my first flat and I loved it to bits and am very curious to know everything about it. Was only talking about it on here the other day.

Took us forever to sell the bloomin' thing in the last recession - just wondering if they're having the same problems this time round!

Would do it myself but can't download anything (firefox/property bee) at work, and hubby's laptop wouldn't cope with anything else on it at home.

Apologies, know it's not really relevant to anyone or anything - maybe anyone searching for it will find this and know it was once very loved!

If I had the money, I'd buy it back and rent it out.

Bought in 1991 for £65k. Sold in around '94 for £58,500 I think. Thought we'd bought at rock bottom prices, but the market kept falling. Just about broke even with what we'd paid off.

Was only 21 when I bought with an ex - we split up in '94 after about 7 years together. Didn't want to sell, but couldn't afford it back then. Then went on to buy in Greenwich (Westcombe Park) on my own - another flat I LOVED. 'Made' about £25k on that in 2 or 3 years so I guess it's all swings and roundabouts.

No idea how it compares percentage-wise to how things have gone up in the area. I imagine the stamp duty is bringing it down.

looks like a lovely flat to me!

    Agreed :)

Only one thing I would have to change is the green walls and that's only because green is my least favourite colour.

Are the work-tops in the kitchen slim ? the microwave is the wrong way round haha.

Aww thanks :) I still feel proud of it even though I've not lived there for 17 years (OMG where's that gone!).

Agreed - I hate the green! It was all yellow (not too bright!) painted woodchip when we were there. The kitchen had an eye-level double oven on the left so not where it is now. Still had a ceramic hob (horrible thing). The microwave's side on lol! It's against the side wall of the kitchen (or the side of a tall cupboard - we used to have the oven there). They cleverly fitted the kitchen into the old hallway behind the small square entrance hall from the front door. We had white worktops, but they probably were slim as it was a small kitchen. Seem to remember counting 19 cupboards in it though when we were there - they're much bigger now by the looks of it. 'Deceptively spacious' lol :D We also had a white round ceramic sink. I remember adding pink and grey flowery bathroom tiles and pink painted woodchip in the bathroom. EWWWWW! What were we thinking! Do remember being skint and that was the best we could afford. Also had our table and chairs in the bay in the lounge. Washing machine is in the cupboard under the stairs - great idea.

    Sorry... reminiscing here!

Ah yes the taste of yesteryear LOL

LCD TVs etc are giving flats a new edge these days I think. There are just so many better ways of using space too.

I can envisage holding a nice little dinner party for four there quite comfortably :)

You inspired me to see if any of my former homes are for sale and alas not, so I cannot join you on your trip down memory lane.

There was a neighbour's house (near identical) up for sale though from one of my childhood homes. My parents' bought it for £11k and it's up for sale for £145,995 shame my parents lost it in the 80s recession.

Had dinner parties for 8 - very comfortably :) Much bigger space for a table and chairs at the bay end. Used to have a bookcase where they have their table and chairs. Felt enormous to us, that flat. Not so big now, but was by far the nicest thing we'd looked at. Loved it to bits on our first viewing.

There used to be lovely old original pine shutters on all windows in the lounge bay and pine doors. We had horrible storage heaters - all the heat disappeared up the open stairs. Ceilings must've been at least 12 foot high! They've got rads in their now. Much more sensible.

We had lovely neighbours there too. A bit too 'lovely', one of 'em - ahem lol!

    Oh, the memories...

Aww sorry to hear they lost their home. Bloody recessions!

Hahaha did you have a nice view ;)

Yeah bloody recessions. Probably have another one in 2040! My parents never really recovered from losing that house.
