Need a new kitchen - confused!

I'm looking for a new kitchen and fed up with every place I visit saying "ours is better than theirs". TBH I can't see that any one is better than another at the moment. Have been to Magnet, Wickes, Howdens, Homebase B & Q - Am going to try and get to Wentworth stockist this week, but any reccomendations of a good, local, long standing business close to me near Gatwick would be much appreciated!

if you are looking at the other 'high street' places (B&Q etc.) you would be remiss not to look at Ikea as well. Very pleased with mine.
PS. have a bit of patience for advice, you posted at almost 23:00 on a Sunday evening and chased again less than 12 hours later......0 -
I have a B&Q kitchen (one of the Cooke and Lewis ones) and I'm very pleased with it. I had a couple of their cabinets from their basic range in the past and one in our new office and they are a bit flimsy. Where they fall down (compared to a bespoke kitchen company and even to MFI who fitted the kitchen in my last house) is the attitude of some of their staff.
I'd have had a B&Q kitchen in my last house if their designer hadn't p*ssed me off so much. This time around the designer was lovely (and I worked on an interiors magazine so I was pretty demanding in what I wanted) but the attitude of the fitter left a lot to be desired (though their electrician was lovely.)
I love the grey Magnet kitchen and, if it had been out when I got mine fitted would have had that one instead. Moben have always had VERY pushy salespeople (to the point of bullying) but have apparently cleaned up their act. Howdens only sell to trade so you need a friendly builder to buy for you if you're fitting it yourselves.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100
