Tumble Dryer fluff
Comments

Hi, Don't forget to regularly empt the fluff out before it builds up, the fire Brigade came out to mine earlier in the week for one of those free home safety checks & they got called away to a tumble drayer fire. The firemen said it was the second one that week & it was caused by not emptying the filter regularly enough it really got me thinking.
PS - the home safety checks are well worth it, they give you free smoke alarms if needed, lots of advice, e.g. don';t use box style double/triple adaptors (we have 3) as they can crack & cause a fire use flat strip type only £1.97 from Tesco well worth it !!! Take care fellow money saversNever-too-dizzy-too-learn

OMG some of the alterative uses for the fluff have had me howling with laughter, the Christmas present one has to be the best.
I have one question though and wonder if anyone here will know, why no matter what colour clothes you put in your dryer does the fluff always come out greylol

And since you can still wear your clothes (minus thin bits/holes) where does it all come from?I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

I have just heard of someone using this to stuff a "sausage" draught excluder. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

But that would probably take a while to accrue that much "fluff"....and as TD's may not get used when there are free methods of drying washing, it would take even longer!0

I do know of people who put it on the hedges for nesting birds to grab. This is my excuse for shaking brushes etc out the window by the way0

Mine goes in the compost bin.0

Hmmmm, I can feel a business opportunity.
Although when you think that in the tumble dryer fluff, there is also hair and dead skin, urghhh.
When I empty the dryers at work there does seem to be an awful lot of dust in there.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Before I gave my TD to the inlaws, I used the fluff (with newspaper) to stuff loo roll tubes to make firelighters.
