Hmmm, should I be worried about my guttering/drain?

Noticed when it rained yesterday that a downpipe had come away from the gutter along the top of the house. Figured we need to find a friend with an extra-long ladder to climb up and re-attach it.
Anyway, today I've noticed that the whole down-pipe has slipped down about 2 inches into the ground. You can see different coloured stripes that were previously in the brackets and are now a bit lower.
I tried man-handling the pipe back upwards and it didn't budge - it's very tight in its brackets.
So, how did it slip downward?
Do I need to worry about the drain under the patio? Is the downpipe likely to be attached to a drain that has collapsed/moved, or is this a simple case of hoisting the downpipe back upwards?
It would be major hassle to look at the drain as the pipe runs into a patio slab which is attached to the house with some concrete.

Its just dropped. The brackets are stopping you lifting it back up again - nothing to do with the drain. You'll have to loosen the brackets off and then it will go straight back up.
