Anyone used Anglian for secondary glazing?

Hi. I want to get secondary glazing and have got 2 quotes from 2 different companies. The first company was a local company who said they wont come down on the price they quote. Anglian quoted £2k to install secondary glazing, although were prepared to reduce it to £1250 which is just under what the original company quoted. Im tempted to go with Anglian. I was interested if anyone here has had any experience with them as a company.
Thanks

Personally just because Angian had the price at £2k and then dropped it I wouldnt give them my business, It smacks of ripping you off,
trying to get as much as possible outa you, they wouldnt charge you the lower price and not make a profit so they came up with £2k
adding an unnessecary £750 for doing absolutely nothing.
Get another quote from another local firm and then compare the two lower priced ones. (and ask to see some of their previous work or phone numbers of previous customers just to be sure)
I did this with a window company, went to 2 of their previous customers and both of them said that in hindsight, they wouldnt touch them with a bargepole in future, they didnt get the jobmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I went to a local company. They charged a fair bit more than Anglian - once Anglian reduced the price by 40%!
I've seen a lot of bad things said about Anglian on the forums and reviews, but then you see that for every company. I would be concerned if I was getting double glazing, but secondary glazing is a much simpler job. The salesman said I wouldnt have to pay the final invoice until I was completely happy, but then I guess he would say that! Im veering towards choosing them over the local company.0 -
Try the search on this site.
For some reason I thought you are in norwich? it produced two companies that are listed and may give you an alternative prive (use the more "option button" and tick "secondary glazing")

sashmanBuying quality goods which last, should be an investment that saves money. :T
Buying cheap products which fail, wastes money and costs twice as much in the long run. :mad:0 -
As a matter of principle I would never give a job to a company who reduced their price to match an different quote. As far as I'm concerned, I want the best price first time. If they can reduce it when under pressure then it was obviously not their "best" price, and their first quote was just a try-on.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
