Hi everyone
A relative of mine is a manager at Abbey and he told me today that when the news broke about Fd beginning to charge monthly fees that he had just been at a conference where they were discussing just the same!
personally if I had to chose between paying a monthly fee for fd and the tosh service at Abbey then I would be picking fd every time
jmg

FD will be the first of many. I imagine most 'big bank' will still offer a free bank account in some capacity.0

Urgh....
If more and more banks do this it's back to keeping money under the matress
:D.
Hoping Nationwide remain "proud to be different" despite what has been said about them being unable to rule out the possiblity of charging.......0 -
Just the second of many, the Bank charge reclaim brigade should be careful what they wish for!0

Doubt it. They are becoming more like a bank every day. U-turning on mortgage promises they made back in 2001...., threatening bank charges in the future...., it'll be ATM charges next

Heh, if they introduce charges for ATM use abroad they won't see me for dust. (Monthly fee would be worse, but ignoring that)0
