hon everyone deserves a little splurge every now and again, I don't call it falling off the wagon. What you bought were very necessary items and if the hairdoo was budgetted for then enjoy away.
PS the overdraft is alot lower than i have seen it before in your sig anyhoo so you must be cutting back somewhere!!
Only 2 posts left to go til i reach fantastic status!! WOOOOOO!!debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
LA ..wish you wouldn't be so hard on yourself all that stuff was much needed so had to be bought..we still have to live you know!!!0
-
cheeeeez woman is it not you thats usually telling me not to be so hard on myself???
Here's my take on the things you bought, they won't be wasted. You could have gone out and bought all sorts of stupid rubbish like chinese take aways (mmmm chinese.....) that you get five minutes of happiness from, 12 hours on the loo from (depending on where and what you buy) and a big hollow feeling left afterwards.
That coat will probably do you for years so if you think about how many times you'll wear it over the years and work out the cost per wear it's nothing. As for the hair, well you've still got to get that fiance down the aisle before you can let yourself gohahahaha
You keep that gorgeously coiffured head up high and feel like a million dollars in your new clothes and don't dare feel guilty or there will be a visitor on your doorstep, capiche???0 -
Thanks everyone.
Believe it or not, although I am a bit disappointed, I am not actually giving myself too much of a hard time about it. I have been worse to myself!
As you say LJ, the coat should last for years and it's quite versatile too so a good buy I think.
pania: The overdraft is lower as I balance transferred £800 of it to EGG at 0% for a year. I was determined not to go overdrawn again, more than say £100, by the end of the year but that's all gone to pot now. BUT....as I said...I'm not going to give myself a hard time over it.
taxi: you are right, we do have to live. I hope I am past the days of thinking "oh well, sod it, in for a penny in for a <few hundred> pound!" but trying not to spend *any* money at all just isn't possible or realistic. And in my case it's usually counter productive as I just go nuts after a few months and have a blow out!
LJ, your comment about getting married before I let myself go cracked me up!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hey girl don't feel bad about falling off the wagon, look at me I fell off and was dragged for about a mile before I managed to get back on!!!!
You'll get there, we all have every faith in you. As for Christmas - as Taxi says there are some lovely gifts in the supermarkets. Asda have got some great offers on with 2 gifts for £8 (I've bought quite a few of them).0 -
Hi LA..so glad your looking at it in the right frame of mind...we all have to spend money sometimes on necessities at least...we have things that break down...and clothes that need replacing ...unforseen circumstances...that's life or so they say..take care xx0
