barclaycard transfer to current account

Hi
I am an existing barclaycard customer with a Barclays Current Account. I have never missed any payments, however, after requesting a transfer of money to my Barclays current account, I have been advised over the phone that barclaycard have recently changed policy and no longer allow for any money transfers from barclaycard to a current account (not even for existing Barclays customers!), despite their website clearly allowing for it.
[Unfortunately it looks like as a new user here I can't post a thread containing links, however the current account transfer info is available in the "How Balance Transfer Works" section of the barclaycard website, as well as in the Q&A section by entering "current account"]
Has anybody here ever had a similar experience/similar feedback, or does anybody have any explanation for this? Also, is this blatant contradiction legitimate, legally speaking?
Cheers

I haven't tried transferring my Barclaycard balance to my Barclays current account but if you log on to your online Barclaycard account, on the homepage under 'Access card services' there is an option to 'Transfer to a current account'. Do you see it?
Wouldn't advise though as this will be categorised and charged as a cash advance.0 -

Everyone has it in their online account, but it's usually greyed out/not available. Barclaycard seem to offer the money transfer facility by invitation only when they feel like it.
When available it is offered in conjunction with promotional balance transfer rates, similar to MBNA.Wouldn't advise though as this will be categorised and charged as a cash advance.0 -
Right. Well this service is active on my account probably, as you say, because my BC plat. came with a 0% BT offer.0

Always been an greyed out option on my BC plat account. (As far as I can remember, as I've not really need this facility.)
The 6.9% LOB deal is usually there.
I'm outside of the initial promotional period.0
