planning permission

We bought our house late 2009 and we are now thinking about doing a extension, the house we bought had offers accepted twice before, today i looked at mouseprice and it says there was a application for a double side and rear extension, this application was in february 2009, and must have been done by the previous person who made a offer.

Now i have the application number and ive tried to trace the planning application, but i have had no joy, does anyone know where i could look.

Phone the local planning department and talk to them about it - they should be able to let you know whether permission was granted or refused. My experience of local authority planning departments and building regs is that they are very helpful.
  • Ive emailed them and ill give them a call tomorrow, cheers.

If it's not listed on the council's site then it might not be anywhere. I think even ours lists stuff that gets withdrawn.
