Hard Wired Doorbell help

Having recently moved into a new build, I am fortunate enough that the builders installed a lovely doorbell/chime/push system. Its a Friedland D3126 and it's a hard wired unit.
The problem is, I have a 3 storey townhouse and can't hear the damn thing at all when on the second floor and occassionally not even in the living on the first floor.
I have googled and cannot find anything like an add-on to extend the chime. Is that possible at all? I was hoping it would be as simple as getting a wireless unit to connect up and have that on a different landing perhaps?
If not, I'll have to get a little plaque by the bell push along the lines of "This is a large house, please wait for me to answer the door!"

Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
