Kitchen light bulb?

One of my kitchen light bulbs popped last night, so I need to buy another.
I have taken some pictures of the bulb. Can someone please tell me what it is called and where is the best/cheapest place to buy a couple of them?
The length of the bulb is 12cm.

Thanks

When I had a similar problem I went on ebay and just tried putting in some of the info on the bulb and found the proper name for it that way. Then searched for cheapest including delivery there.

  • It looks like a (Crompton branded) Linear Halogen 240V R7s 2kHr 150W 118mm bulb, however linear halogen bulbs are typically used in floodlights, uplighters, security lights etc... so it doesn't make sense that it would be in a kitchen light fitting.

If it turns out that it is a linear halogen bulb then a replacement will cost £1-£2 depending on where you buy it & which brand you buy.

Thanks for the responses so far, can anyone supply a link to the bulb?

Take the old bulb to any independent electrical shop and they'll match it for you.

Another place to try is Wilkinsons. They have a range of bulbs and the staff are usually helpful.

  • They are linear halogen bulbs as others have said.

Just measure the length & go to somewhere that sells bulbs
