UPDATE my friend has been on to "shelter" she assures me that she has told them all the facts and she says they told her she can be evicted under 184 act ? which is something to do with crime ............thats what she tells me .Rent does not come into as she is certain that her rent is up to date .
So lets say all this is fact and we have my friend who is 49 her kids aged 15,18 and 26 the 18 year old has 2 babys by her 27 year old partner who lives in with the family.
My friend works part time and the father of the 2 babys works full time .
My friend the 18 and the 27 year old father or due in crown court in sept this year.
I reckon things look very very bleak.

So it looks like your friend herself is in trouble to the extent that she's one of the three persons due in Crown Court. If the information your friend has relayed to you from Shelter is correct then it looks like it's probably too late to do anything about the pending eviction.

Did she find out if the local authority need to advise on finding new accomodation? What did Shelter say about that? Or does she now need to find a private sector landlord who would be willing to take her on as a tenant?

crown court is pretty damn serious - rape, murder, robbery, etc.

Time to step away. You do not want to be further entangled in this. And if you are, I'd be moving job and town.

Time to think of yourself and not this family.

I would steer clear, suspect her neighbours are already arranging the street party.

So when the friend and 18 year old and 27 year old get put away, who looks after the 2 babies?

The 26 year old sibling could take the 15 year old and two babies. I'm 26 with 2 littlies of my own and would be able to manage a 15 year old as well.

I suspect social services in this case though

Well it looks like three people in that house are about to have full board accommodation supplied for them, so no worries about the eviction.

Social services will take them into care.

Crown Court is rape, murder and robbery (all of which are "indictable-only" offences and have to go to the Crown Court).

However, lots of offences such as theft are "either way" offences, and can be tried in either the Crown Court or the Magistrates Court. So you can have a jury trial in relation to the theft of £10.

Also, cases on appeal from the Mags go to the Crown Court, as do matters such as taxi licensing.

So Crown Court doesn't equal murder!
