Capital One - Payment Protection - Redundancy

Hi, my OH was made redundant on Friday, nice of them considering he'd only been there for a month and half.
Luckily (???) he has been paying monthly for Payment Protection Insurance on his CC.
Am I right in thinking that this would pay his monthly minimum fee?
Can't seem to find it on their UK website, only on a .com one, which states he could apply after 30 days and would be paid for 12 months.
A creative mess is better than tidy idleness :D

Hit the apply button for any of their cards and scroll down to "Step 4. Additional Information" where you'll find links to the information you're looking for.

And next time they send him documentation, tell him to file it. ;)

I would check whether he has been at his place of work long enough to claim.
