We are thinking about putting some decking in our garden, hoping to do it DIY style, does anyone have any advise for us?

thanks, thats a great link, i have been looking at Wickes and they have an offer on at the moment. We have some trees to remove in the area we are planning to deck so are waiting on hubby loaning a chainsaw, i think we are planning a very simple deck lower down the garden to break it up a bit as it is a very large area of lawn. just want to be sure we will be doing it correctly

Pick up one of Wickes "How to do decking" leaflets while you are in there, they are very informative.I can afford anything that I want.
