    Morning all!

Got work this morning, overtime money is nice, but the actual doing isn't so much fun lol! Good job I'm meant to be awake though, as a few of the village boys have been rattling up and down on scooters outside my house since about 8am - come on parents, it's Sunday for goodness sake, keep them in till at least 9am! My lot weren't allowed out till 9 on a weekday and after lunch on a Sunday! Mini moan over lol!

Weather is glorious here again, so may pop over to the garden centre this afternoon, and might even buy the troops an ice cream if they come help me carry stuff lol! OS stuff will then mostly involve the garden I hope! Going to leave a list this morn for the kids whilst I'm at work - DW, WM, hoovering (will be a necessity as am leaving them French sticks to fill for lunch, so house will be crumb filled!), and mowing the lawns for ds!

Dinner will prob be a bbq this evening, will have a poke around in the freezer later! Will also be some hm icecream in the new gadget too :)

For anyone needing sun lotion, Asda have changed their packaging, and the older style bottles were being sold off at £1.50 each in my local one, and tubes were 50p - ideal for kids to take to school! I stocked up, so hopefully no red bits by the end of the day!

Have a good day all, time to finish my cuppa and get myself to work! xxx

Good Morning everyone what a glorious spring morning it is . I am going to scrub my porch out as DD is going to paint the skirting board for me and I shall emulsion the walls. I also have a mirror that I am hoping to renovate to go up in there. That is my 'spring project' for the month.I shall search around for a small off cut piece of carpet to go in there as well make it seem a bit warmer as well. I may have a walk down to the country park this afternoon if this sunshine stays as well then dinner at DDs with the tribe .All in all a nice relaxing sunday Hope everyone gets to do what ever they fancy as its such a beautiful day so we must make the most of it
    Cheers JackieO xx

RR - Was talking about tickling tomatoes lastnight with DH and he looked at me like i was mad.....where and when do you do it ?

:D you need to get a clean kids paint brush, and wait for the flowers to appear on your toms, then go from one to another and 'tickle' the flowers, helps them along a bit :D

    Morning all,

We went to the party last night, ended up not eating before we went, was very glad though, the food was delish :T, waitrose, thick slices of ham, smoked salmon, prawns, pork pies ect, salads and thick crusty bread, twas delish.

    Morning

Well with working last week and recovering from my friends party yesterday i've done nothing.

But today I need to crack on. Got the WM on already and since it's nice and sunny here I'm going to hang it out.

DS has a party today that I forgot all about so need to head out and get a present before it.

I was planning on trying to make my own bread today but that's not going to happen since I will be out most of the afternoon.

Dinner tongiht will be spag bol.

Kids are back at school tomorrow (I think must double check) so need to get them bathed and sorted early tonight.

    Have a good day everyone.

My late pa-in-law used to 'tickle ' the cucumbers with a small kids paint brush which my children found hilarious

Morning all, havent been posting for last few days, had a lot going on.
DD has said she doesnt want to go back to her school after the Easter hols, the year she is in is so b i t chy and she seems to be dragged into every argument.Have left a message for the person who deals with school transfers to get back to me.Just to weigh up the options .I'm not keen on moving her but want to put feelers out .She has obviously been worring about it for a while as I took her shopping for spring/summer clothes on Friday and she has dropped from a size 10/12 to an 8:eek::eek:.Cannot believe I didn't realise sooner.
Sun is shining today so everyone is in a happy mood.Washing on the line another is in the machine.Woofer is out over the field with ds1 and his friends with their dogs.
Dw on, bread pudding in the oven, am going to make a batch of cookies and a chocolate tray bake for the following week.
Roast chicken and trimmings for dinner tonight. With Eves pudding and ice cream for afters.Searching for colours to do the kitchen , atm its light green walls with beiges cupboards, I cant afford to change the cupboard doors Would like to do something to the doors as the are just plain beige (council)with silver colour handles. So will be searching to see what other peoples kitchens are like. Not being nosy of course;)
Have been offered free use of an 8 berth caravan at Searles in Hunstanton for the May half term by my neighbour as they usually use it then but they are going to Paris for the week for their 25 wedding anniversary.Searles is great for the kids so am deffinately going to take them up on their offer.
Thats about all for now.Hope everyone are ok and have a lovely day:)

    Morning all,

Lovely, warm and bright here, so washing will be out soon.

We always "tickle" our first tomato flowers, cucumber, aubergine, chilli, melon, etc. We leave the french beans and runners to the beas as they have so many flowers!

Been to church - it was long! But I find it a lovely start to a Sunday.

Just off to get the fresh veg for lunch. It will be great when it is our own veg - can't wait:)

    Happy Sunday peeps, Silver x

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning All,

Hester I hope everything is OK for your BIL, I shall be thinking of you all. xxx

Lovely sunny day here, had a busy morning, and the boys are now all dropped off at the semi final at Hampden Park. Very excited about it all, even DS1 who has long been a non football fan! I think that situation will have definitely been changed around come 2.30pm :)

I have a washing just finishing to go out on the line, and another to do, then back to it in DS1's bedroom, I am moving at a snail's pace :o but it will be worth it in the end.

Nothing much else to say, boys back at school tomorrow and I need to recheck their uniforms before they go, and need to do a shop for pack up stuff.

Have a lovely day everyone, don't forget the sunscreen :)
